Meet Dr. Nick

A Rhode Island native, Dr. Nick Barone is a graduate of Moses Brown School in Providence. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania, majoring in English Literature and Political Science, and completed a post-baccalaureate in pre-medical science at Rhode Island College. Dr. Nick graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and was given the American Association of Orthodontists award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oro-facial Complex. He then completed his two-year residency in Orthodontics and Dental-Facial Orthopedics at Tufts University. Dr. Nick is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Rhode Island Dental Association. His proudest career achievement was becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Nick feels strongly about community involvement, having volunteered for activities including a dental mission trip to Ecuador, Bridge over Troubled Waters in Boston, at the Samuel's Dental Center in Providence and an externship at the St. Joseph's Children's Dental Clinic. Dr. Nick was awarded the Austin Scholarship for Community Outreach while at Tufts. Dr. Nick looks forward to participating in the Mission of Mercy each calendar year.
In his free time, Dr. Nick enjoys numerous outdoor activities including skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, golfing, snowmobiling, and spending time with his wife Jennifer, son Lester, and dog Puka.
